How MEA Europe collects and uses personal data, as required by Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Who is responsible

Mea Europe S.à r.l.-S, 20 Rue des Peupliers, L-2328 Luxembourg, RCS Luxembourg B311491, is the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach us at info@mea-europe.com.

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to do so.

What we collect

Through the contact form: your name, your company, your email address, the markets you are interested in, and the content of your message. Nothing else on this site collects personal data.

Providing this data is neither a statutory nor a contractual requirement. It is simply necessary for us to reply — if you prefer not to use the form, write to us directly instead.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

To answer your enquiry and discuss working together. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

To keep a record of business enquiries and follow up on them. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is managing and developing commercial relationships; we have considered your interests and use only the details you chose to send us.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making, and we do not sell it.

Who else sees it

Only service providers acting on our instructions under Article 28 GDPR — our email provider and our website host. We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law obliges us to.

Transfers outside the EEA

Our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer relies on an adequacy decision under Article 45 GDPR or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses under Article 46. You can ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguards at info@mea-europe.com.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a commercial relationship are deleted three years after our last contact with you. Three years is the period supervisory authorities treat as reasonable for business prospect data; we do not keep enquiries beyond it in case they become useful later.

Where a commercial relationship begins, we keep the records for as long as it lasts and then for ten years from the close of the relevant financial year, the period the Luxembourg Commercial Code and tax law require for accounting records. After that they are deleted.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. It loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which transmits your IP address to Google when a page loads. Google is not permitted to use that data for its own purposes, and no other third-party service runs on this site.

Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to have its processing restricted, to receive it in a portable form, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing already carried out.

Write to info@mea-europe.com to exercise any of these rights. We reply within one month, as Article 12(3) GDPR requires.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Luxembourg supervisory authority: Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD), 15 Boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux, cnpd.lu. You may also complain to the authority where you live or work.

Changes

We update this policy when our processing changes. Last updated 13 September 2026.
